Sax Altman has a proud tradition of Australian tailoring that has been a division of the Stafford Group since 1977. For over 40 years the Sax Altman brand has produced quality tailored clothing that embodies the inherent quality and style that has become the benchmark of Australian tailored trousers and pants.
Sax Altman has always been at the forefront of technology integration with its product range. In the 1970’s Des Renford, Australian champion distance swimmer and “king of the English channel”, swims from Sydney Luna Park to the steps of the Opera house in a shark proof cage and wearing a fully washable Sax Altman travel suit. The suit was then hosed down and displayed in a department store window in Market street, Sydney, to demonstrate how, when the suit dried of its own accord, it was fit to wear.
From the 1970’s to current day, Sax Altman continues to develop its technologically integrated products. One of these products is the newest member to the Sax Altman stable, the ‘COMFIT’ trouser range. The COMFIT trouser has a unique blend of wool and COOLMAX® EVERDAY that has moisture wicking qualities and keeps the wearer cool and dry. The range also utilizes one of Sax Altman’s evolutionary integrations the “COMFIT” waist band. The waist band allows the waist of the trouser to expand and shrink back to size without any adverse effect to the trouser look or function, giving the wearer the ultimate in comfort and flexibility.
